Leak Detection
Both water and gas leaks can be seen in 3-D. The approximate location of the leak can usually be determined.
3-D Example Revealing Presence of Water Leak from Irrigation Pipe
This screen show is from a survey of the Commons area at a university. Survey area shown is 22 feet by 30 feet, with two parallel plastic irrigation pipes. The 3-D view is ‘sliced’ on the Z-axis to show the presence and extent of a previously undetected water leak from the pipe on the left in red. The 2-D view in the upper right of the screen also shows the flow of the leak to the right of the pipe.
